Four ways into the arena
Duel
Two players, one arena and a race for the most frags. Start with the blade, collect weapons and fight for control of armor and mega health.
Free-for-All
A multiplayer deathmatch where every other player is an opponent. Learn the map, collect weapons and keep moving between fights.
Amphi
Pick a weapon kit and fight short deathmatch rounds in a small arena. You respawn with your chosen kit; the first player to win two rounds wins the match.
Search & Destroy
Attackers carry a bomb to one of two sites; defenders stop the plant or defuse it. Choose a kit between rounds, and stay alive: there are no respawns within a round.

Is Washiki Washoi! free to play?
Yes. Washoi is a free online multiplayer arena FPS. Play in your browser without buying the game or installing a launcher.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No separate installation or launcher is required. Your browser loads the game and downloads the map and media packages it needs when you play.
Which game modes can I play?
The lobby offers Duel, Free-for-All, Amphi and Search & Destroy. Duel is a one-on-one frag race, Amphi is a best-of-three kit-based duel, and Search & Destroy is a team bomb-and-defuse mode.
Can I practice against bots?
Yes. Bots can fill matches so you can learn maps, practice movement and work on your aim. They use sight and sound, with behavior and mistakes that vary by difficulty.
Which browser and controls should I use?
Use a desktop browser with a keyboard and mouse. We recommend a current Chromium-based browser such as Chrome or Edge for game performance. Firefox can also run the game, but performance may vary. When launching the game on battery power, Safari may select the lower-power GPU on dual-GPU systems and/or limit the frame rate to 30 FPS.
Do I need an account?
Every player has an account identified by a key saved in the browser. Keep an exported copy of your key to use that account elsewhere. If you lose the key, your account, name and rankings cannot be recovered for you.
What license does Washoi use?
The game and SHAG Engine code use the MIT License. Art, audio and other media have their own licenses, listed in the game credits.
