    How to play Washoi

Washiki Washoi! is a free browser arena FPS. Bring a keyboard and mouse, choose a live server and start learning the maps. No game installation is required.

    Before you join

We recommend a current Chromium-based desktop browser, such as Chrome or Edge, for game performance. Firefox can run the game, but performance can differ. Use a stable connection and choose a nearby server for responsive matches.

    1. 1. Open the browser game

Choose Play, select a server and launch the game. There is no installer or separate launcher. Your browser loads the game's code and downloads the map and media packages it needs.

    2. 2. Keep your account key

Your player account is identified by a key saved in the browser. Keep an exported copy so you can return on another browser or device. Clearing browser data without a backup can lose access to the account: a name alone cannot recover its key, history or rankings.

    3. 3. Choose a mode and a room

The lobby offers Duel, Free-for-All, Amphi and Search & Destroy. Join or create a room and use the available map choices. Duel rewards map and item control; Amphi gives you short one-on-one rounds with a chosen kit. Free-for-All puts everyone against everyone, while Search & Destroy asks teams to attack or defend bomb sites.

    4. 4. Learn the controls and movement

Use the game's welcome guide and settings to review your bindings. Practice bunny hops and air control, then add wall jumps, ledge grabs and crouch slides. Learn a route at a comfortable speed before trying to carry that speed into a fight. Sensitivity, field of view, bindings and many gameplay settings can follow your account.

    5. 5. Practice, then watch a match back

Bots let you learn the arenas and try weapons before facing other players. Their difficulty changes how they aim, react and make mistakes. Match recordings and cinematic highlight reels let you revisit a fight, see another player's perspective and spot a route or decision you missed while playing.

    More help, less guesswork

The player manual covers controls, weapons, pickups, movement and multiplayer. Read the mode overview to pick your next fight, or bring a question and feedback to the community. Matches and chat are recorded in public demos; read the in-game terms before joining and keep your account key private.
