The Blade, the Ragdoll, and 3,900 Deleted Lines
A charged blade projectile, per-weapon speed modifiers, a ragdoll death system, team colours, and a weapon model system rewritten from scratch.
The Blade
A melee weapon with a charged projectile — the gunblade's blast art, repurposed. Walljump animations transmit over the movementState bitmask on bit 2, and a blade attack temporarily blocks the locomotion animation group so it is not overridden mid-swing.
Everything Else In The Headline
Per-weapon speed modifiers. A ragdoll death system. Team colours. Hitbox and eye level tuning. Gib system fixes. Cartoon hit effects. Ledge grab ceiling and hull checks. Walljump now requires a fresh press. MD3 normal map alignment. BSP shader precompilation. Background-tab texture recovery. Tab recovery. Respawn reliability. Headless CLI boosts. GLB hierarchy and Havok fixes. Voltaic lightning gun. New player animations. Player-player collision.
Section by section this is a maintenance release. What makes it a milestone is the last item:
~3,900 lines removedAlso
WeaponViewManager was split, camera controllers were de-duplicated, and the weapon model system was marked REWRITE.
The charged blade is the release's name, but the 3,900 lines are the reason the blade could exist. By v0.9.9 the weapon pipeline had accreted enough special cases that adding a melee weapon with a charge state was a structural problem.
Known Issues: none stated — the changelog has no Known Issues, Limitations or Unverified Items section, which is unusual and worth saying plainly rather than implying.
